According to the latest data from the General Administration of Customs, from January to May 2023, China exported 36.369 million tons of steel products, a year-on-year increase of 40.9%.

In the first five months of this year, China's steel exports totaled US$41.60 billion, a year-on-year increase of 15.1%. Based on this calculation, the average price of China's steel exports from January to May was US$1,143.7/ton, a year-on-year decrease of 18.6%.

In May, China exported 8.356 million tons of steel products, an increase of 5.3% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 7.7%; the export value was US$7.71 billion, a decrease of 11.5% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 28.0%; A decrease of 16.0%, a year-on-year decrease of 33.1%.
